Incoming Department Editor at the BISE Journal
I am very happy to share that, as of October 1st, I have been appointed Department Editor for Enterprise Modeling and Enterprise Engineering at the Business & Information Systems Engineering (BISE) journal.
Together with Jennifer Horkoff from the University of Gothenburg, I will co-edit the department and continue the excellent work of Hans-Georg Fill.
The BISE Journal #
Business & Information Systems Engineering (BISE) is an international, double-blind peer-reviewed journal and one of the leading European journals in the Information Systems field. It has a long tradition in the Business Informatics community and combines rigorous research with a strong focus on relevance for the design and use of information systems.
The journal's high quality and impact are also reflected in its metrics: BISE had a 2024 Impact Factor of 10.4, a 5-year Impact Factor of 10.8, and a CiteScore of 13.6.
I am therefore particularly honored to become part of the journal's editorial team.
Enterprise Modeling and Enterprise Engineering #
The Enterprise Modeling and Enterprise Engineering department welcomes research on enterprise modeling and enterprise engineering from both conceptual and business perspectives.
Topics of interest include, among others:
- enterprise and conceptual modeling
- enterprise architecture management
- reference modeling
- modeling and engineering of digital twins
- artificial intelligence applications in enterprise modeling and engineering
- sustainability and Industry 4.0
- domain-specific information systems, for example in manufacturing, healthcare, government, and banking
The department is particularly interested in high-quality research that advances how we conceptualize, model, analyze, and engineer enterprises and their information systems, including emerging intersections with AI and other digital technologies.
I am very much looking forward to working with Jennifer and the BISE editorial team, engaging with authors and reviewers, and helping to further develop the Enterprise Modeling and Enterprise Engineering department.
If you are working on research that fits the scope of the department, please consider BISE as a venue for your work — and do not hesitate to reach out to me!
